FAQ Cavitation & Laser Lipo

Fat cells will burst, melt and be eliminated from your body in no time with ultrasonic cavitation and laser lipo!

ultrasonic cavitation &
laser lipo

Melt stubborn body fat & tighten skin.

These two methods are very similar in that they will eliminate fats cells and tighten your skin. There are a few differences between them that is explained below. Keep in mind, optimal results are achieved with a balanced diet and an increased water intake.

Ultrasonic Cavitation uses ultrasound waves and radio frequency energy to selectively break down fat cells and cellulite. The waves are sent deep into the layers of your skin causing a disruptive vibration. Fat cells essentially burst, breaking apart from each other and then are dislodged from your dermal layers.

Laser Lipo uses radio frequency that gently heats fat cells until they die off in a process called apoptosis. Your Esthetician places a belt(s) equipped with laser diodes directly onto the skin. The laser energy penetrates down to the fat cells and creates tiny holes in their membranes. This causes the fat cells to release their stored fatty acids, glycerol, and water into the body and then shrink. The body then flushes out the expelled fat-cell contents via the lymphatic system or burns them for energy.

Immediately after treatment, your body will clear away the disrupted fat cells mainly through urine and excrement. After a few days, the fat cells are absorbed by your lymphatic system and drained as waste from your body.

Q: How long does it last?
A: The results of both methods are permanent and produce a noticeable difference in body profile within a very short period of time without excessive trauma or aggressive treatment.

Q: Is it safe?
A: Yes! Many studies have found both methods to be a safe and effective treatment for targeting small areas of body fat and cellulite, with little to no downtime.

Q: What to expect during the procedure?
You’ll lay on a comfortable treatment table in a cozy room. We have pillows, blankets, soft music and lighting. Most clients feel a slight warmth and sometimes a vibration when the nodes are in contact with your skin. The treated areas will typically have a pink or redness hue for only a few hours afterwards. The treatments have little to no downtime and are painless.

Q: When are results noticeable?
A: With either method, most people see minor results within 24-72 hours. Depending on many factors, desired results are often achieved after several weekly sessions. The fat didn’t show up overnight, so it won’t disappear overnight, unless you opt for traditional liposuction or surgery.

Q: Who is a qualified candidate?
A: A healthy adult over the age of 18, who is only about 25 pounds over their ideal weight, who is more concerned with "problem areas" than total-body weight loss, can potentially be a candidate for this treatment.

Q: Who is NOT a qualified candidate?
A: These services cannot be performed on anyone who is pregnant or lactating, has an infectious disease, high cholesterol, thyroid disease, immune disorders or diseases, has a pacemaker, HIV or AIDS, cancer, high blood pressure, heart, liver or kidney disease, has had an organ transplant, any metal inside the body, on anticoagulants or antibiotics.

Q: How many sessions are needed?
A: Ultrasonic Cavitation will typically give you your desired results after 3-6 sessions. Laser Lipo will typically give you your desired results after 6-12 sessions. Of course, it depends on many factors. Your Esthetician will be able to help you determine how many it could take.

Q: What areas can be treated?
A: Both methods can treat these common problem areas: abdomen, chin, thighs, arms, back, flanks and men’s pectorals.

Q: What is the after care?
A: Drink at least eight 16oz glasses of water before and after the treatment. Fat elimination is accelerated by the amount of water your drink, therefore water is a key component to eliminate fat. We recommend you avoid caffeine, soda, alcohol and fatty or fried foods. All of these will make the liver work hard and we want the liver to be working hard eliminating the released fat cells. Plus, you might get an upset stomach.
